1. Are there really equal opportunities? Globally + UAE specifically

Not even close. I think it's worse in race and religion areas than gender for the whole though.

2. Is sexism still prevalent in the workplace?

It's not politically correct that's for sure, but I see little active discrimination in my spheres and deal with a lot of successful women. It seems easier for women to find lower to mid paid jobs as well. Men in the UAE are expected to earn more which puts pressure those who for whatever reason cannot I feel.

3. Do men and women approach business differently?

Yes, like they do in almost everything in life. Because men and women are different. Plenty of exceptions of course.

4. What mistakes do women make in the workplace that can be detrimental?

Not seen much beyond being too emotional over issues that require a more logical approach. The reverse could be said of some men though.

I have heard examples of female bosses allowing personal lives to spill into work but I think this is an individual problem not a gender problem. A good boss is a good boss, male or female.

Norm - thanks but a bit late as show was yesterday.

Kittycat - it was a two hour show so we covered quite a lot. It seems very well recieved, lots of texts received and was heaps of fun too. There should be a podcast if I can track it down.
