Social Attitude Test

Re: Social Attitude Test
Political Values
Radicalism 22.5
Socialism 68.75
Tenderness 62.5
These scores indicate that you are a tender-minded moderate conservative; this is the political profile one might associate with a sincere clergyman. It appears that you are trusting of religion, and have a compassionately humanistic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as pro-government.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a centrist with many strong opinions.
what does 62.5 tender mean? if they mean fat content wise then they are spot on!!

Re: Social Attitude Test
I took the survey twice.
The first was on my phone whilst in a taxi going to a meeting. Couldn't copy/paste the response but it did describe me as a centrist somewhat sympathetic towards religion and who would be called right wing.
Then I just took it again and answered all the questions as I remembered and got the following:
Radicalism 58.25
Socialism 6.25
Tenderness 37.5
These scores indicate that you are a tough-minded moderate; this is the political profile one might associate with a jaded materialist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a pragmatic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear laissez-faire capitalist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as libertarian.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, an idealist with very few strong opinions.
This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.
Hmph. Must have changed one or two answers to become a libertarian.
Many of the questions were loaded and could be interpreted in different ways and others were really two questions combined into one (to use as an example I'm in favour of increased education spending but not social welfare spending.)
If you read the footnote at the bottom it's clear that the survey is based on socio-economic political thinking and outlook more suited for the mid 20th century than today's world, as evidenced by the eugenics questions and reference to Nazism, as well as lumping Jews and Muslims together. Many people would provide different answers if that latter question was only about Muslims or Jews.
It's no surprising that most of us ended up centrist-Libertarian because that's probably the result of applying the modern 21st mindset, which is much more centrist and individualist, to questions meant for a time when people were more deeply divided amongst political ideologies - right wing versus left wing, capitalists versus socialists etc.

I'll share my results when a few of you have done likewise.

Unlike many other political tests found on the Internet which base themselves on untested (and usually ideologically motivated) ideas, this inventory is adapted from Hans Eysenck's own political inventory which was developed after extensive empirical investigations in the 20th Century.

These scores indicate that you are a progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion (pah - I'm more of a radical atheist), and have a pragmatic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a political centrist.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a centrist with several strong opinions.
I think this means I'm nicer than the rest of you! Not sure about that tenderness score. I'm almost offended at the suggestion of fluffiness about it.
