When you do get good bands people just don't get it , The Gulf and Rock & Roll is a bit of a contradiction.....

Most gigs i'v been to in the Gulf are shite , Bands looking for a big payday and a muted ex-pat crowd who really just come along because it's an event and not to see the band.
When you do get good bands people just don't get it , The Gulf and Rock & Roll is a bit of a contradiction.....

I heard the same thing - the noise from Allure night club at the Yacht Club goes on thoughout the night and there isn't anything the hotel can do.

I tried to book one of the hotel packages on Yas Island, but they were all sold out.
On Radio 2 yesterday, they were doing a competition for 2 x Golden Circle tickets, and advertising the packages at Yas Island again. I send in a text with the correct answer and pointed out that the packages were actually sold out. 10mins later Daisy from Radio 2 called back and I thought I'd won the tickets, she only asked me what hotels I had checked with, thanked me and then gave the tickets too someone else. Cheeky mare!
