Even today people I meet keep harping on about how Dubai is so wonderful to invest in and how they are making 50% a month or whatever it is they think it is.
When I see things like this it I don't even feel sorry for them to be honest. JBR's value will go down if they build extra car parks and the only way to get to the beach is via expensive hotel club memberships...that an the fact that as sea levels rise the beach may get a bit closer to your apartment window!
Us simpletons who refuse to be suckered by the Dubai LLC spin and hype will just carry on buying our homes in countries where we can take developers to court if they lie to us...of course we won't make 50% a month or minute or whatever they make here but our homes will still be standing in 20 years time because they are not castles built on sand
