Single best accompaniament to turkey
We always have turkey on 25th and jolly nice roast potatoes, usually with honey-glazed roast parsnips, mashed swede, sprouts (often with bacon), extra stuffing and various other odds n sods.
Suggestions for one other accompaniament?

Lots of alcohol - after all, turkey is such a dry and tasteless meat, give me a good ham any day of the week.

Homemade port and cranberry sauce and my homemade (chestnut, mushroom & herb) stuffing. Anything from a packet is an abomination. Also pigs in blankets.
Turkey shouldn't be dry and tasteless if you get a decent one and prepare and cook it properly. Too many people buy cheap frozen ones and then wonder why they are tasteless.

Bread Sauce, yumm! Hate cloves so always leave them out and add another bayleaf instead. If the turkey's dry (and I know it shouldn't be) this helps soooo much.

Gravy. You’ve got to smother the whole lot in nice, rich gravy surely.

More bacon and sausages. Xmas dinners only redeeming feature is the roasted pork products, proper roasted spuds aren't bad either though

Totally agree, but would drop the swede and add brussels.
