I had a good hard scrub in the shower after visiting some wonderful AD bars for the first time.

But I'm fundamentally a good, honest boy. I genuinely wonder what state your old lad has been in.

The Trap was interesting. Then up above in the 'penthouse' of the same place was another interesting bar 49ers? Or is that the Hotel name?

Then went to Ally Pally to a couple of places which were a laugh if quite quiet, a Korean Karaoke bar and another just normal bar. Then Heroes I think, was very hazy by this point. That was ****ing rammed but kind of good, more 'normal' clientele than the others. Although the chicken tikka wraps on sale on the way out were excellent.

McGettigans at Raha Mall (I think it's round there somewhere) is also quite good. Identical design to the Dubai ones but good for a few.

Maybe I'll do my own pub crawl here one night and keep looking for the ever so elusive Abu Dhabi that I seem to be missing. Does anyone actually live here other than Emiratis, Syrian grannies and Filipinos?
