Re: Sharjah Transport to charge it's taxi drivers
These guys do get a hard time.
I was in a taxi last week coming back from the airport. The driver was pulled over by an unmarked car and fined 500Dh - He had changed lanes without indicating. It was 4am and the road was empty, we hadn't even left the grounds of the airport. The driver was in tears and couldn't speak to me for 20mins. In the end I decided to pay it for him as it was just so out of order what happened. When he dropped me off at my house he tried to give me a cuddle. The good samaritan in me couldn't extend to man hugs... |

But yes, that is just a little bit insane. Had they only pulled the line of 'cuts in co2 emissions', it could have been passed in Scandinavia I'm sure. |

I would have done the same, well done! don't worry about the man hugs. Now can you stretch to paying off my fines which amount 2100 dhs and my phone bill which is currently at 2400 dhs?
