At the end of the day, if you live in someone elses country you abide by the rules no matter how draconian they may be. If you are caught breaking the rules then don't be surprised if you are punished in a way that may be draconian also.
Sometimes, as an Australian, I wish that our government had the guts to enforce some more "Australian" identity on the people who immigrate.
I think we're all losing our national identity in some way, even England, and it's the nationals of the countries that enforce a certain standard who make all the fuss. Follow the rules in a foreign country and you'll stay out of jail.
Just my two cents (or pence) please don't delete my account.

I'm sure they will be fine and treated to a nice Christmas dinner with all the sides. Plus the latest movies on the large screen tv. Perhaps some new games for the PS3 console in their own cell.
