Just lurkin' here. Seeing who's still about and if much has changed. Evidently not! ;)

Things not too bad at the moment. Long may it last....

Not much changes here, does it? A few new names, same old shite.

I'm in Methil. I work here. A few miles east of here and it gets really quite nice. Loads of golf courses as well, with St. Andrews just along the road of course.

Hello Mate!

Long time...

What did you do to end up in Methil?

That's the area I grew up in - Upper Largo just 4 miles along the coast...

Hope you are liking it there? Some bits around there are pretty rough though...

Hope all going well and you are well.

I'm well, thanks mate. Hope you are too.

I work in oil and gas now and there's a big fabrication yard here. Will be here for another year. It's not too bad. I stay in Kirkcaldy and get home every weekend. The East Neuk is nice, and has got me into photography big style (expensive hobby, mind). Edinburgh isn't too far away and if I fancy a bit of Highland action it's just a couple of hours or so to Glencoe.

I know Upper Largo...drove through it every day when I was staying in Anstruther. Wish I still was, but it was too far and the flat was really cold...had a cracking view over the harbour, mind.

Might as well share this flickr album while we're on about Scotland. Hope you like them...just a few snaps I've taken over the last couple of years. I'm sure you'll recognise a few places, Auto. :)

Makes me miss the place! Glad to hear it's all going well and that you like the area!

You photos are really impressive - nicely done indeed!

When I was up in Sutherland last weekend, that song was stuck in my head. Methil gets a mention as well.

Re: Scotland

Not that many of you are that interested in my holiday but I'll tell the world anyway. Scotland - What a ****ing place. Never given it the credit it deserves. Albeit a touch embarrassing to give my Scottish family name in a nice Southern English accent.

Scotland is clearly where I get my nice, friendly attitude from.

Stopped on the way up near Wakefield at Waterton Park. Lovely hotel and golf course but don't let them convince you it's easy to walk. It was basically a grassy mountain range. Buggy after 9 holes was mandatory.

Loch Lomond was awesome, stunning. The Lodge on the Loch is a bit dated and a bit average but nice enough. Went to the Inn on the Loch for dinner - quality. Made the Mrs eat Haggis. Hilarious.
Played the Carrick - beautiful course, expensive but worth it.

Glasgow - Wow. Wasn't expecting this. Lovely city, we stayed near Kelvin Park (?). Walked to Ashton Lane for beers - great fun. Went shopping the next day but more of a wander, then had lunch in the Merchant Quarter/City. Some incredible architecture and buildings. Really lovely. Drove to Ibrox on the way out (as it was the way out and Celtic were playing that night). Wish I hadn't - what a pile. Oh well. Went to Auchentoshan distillery - that was cool.

Prestwick - Very little to do but that's what we wanted. Played at St Cuthberts which was very nice. Dinner at Elliotts and a walk along the sea front. Lunch and dinner at Elliotts the next day - what a place that is.

Decided one more night was needed so stopped at The Mere in Cheshire, beautiful hotel and course. Really nice place.

All in all a great trip home, lots of time after with family and friends which was brilliant. Upgraded with miles on the way home, top deck of the A380. Stand up bar is good but boring if you're on your own. The beds aren't long enough or wide enough for gentlemen of serious stature like myself but not complaining!

F*** me. That is impressive stuff, I would happily pay for some of those.

Glad you had a good time.

(Almost made me homesick there for a minute). :p

It looks as though the atmosphere in Glasgow is amazing at the moment with the games on, they've had great weather too, so everyone must be happy.

LittleJimmy those photos are amazing!
