September is China...2 weeks at my farm just outside Dalian, and then 2 weeks in Yunnan travelling around....can`t wait, getting a bit sick of the sand pit!

Ambleside and Ullswater, but we've got family over who've never been to the Lakes so we'll do a fair bit of driving round. Just hope its not full of tourists, like us.

In the UK it would be called a small holding, I have about 15 pigs, chickens, ducks and geese, which I raise for the table! And I do all the slaughtering etc...I even do hams and bacon!
Also we grow all our own veg and some fruits...with corn for feed for the animals, I find it extremely relaxing to be there...but do not spend any time there in the winter as it is to bloody cold.
I go there as often as possible, it is quite idyllic as there are about another 20 "farms" and I have got to be known and accepted into the community.

Thanks for the suggestion -- we've got 2 nights / 3 days up there, so I think I'll need an itinerary, although it may have to take in the Peter Rabbit and famous touristy stuff to satisfy the Japanese visitors ...
Food's an important element, too, so if anyone has recent experience of really good restaurants / cafes / pubs, that'd be welcome.
