You have to marinade everything out here to be acceptable to the palette. It's as if the meat itself is just simply not the 'right' flavour, or not to our taste buds. But then the locals marinade virtually everything too, so either the meat is of lower quality, or the environment is doing something to our taste buds.
You'd think what goes on the inside of a pigs intestines would be marinaded already though. If they can squeeze an entire xmas dinner in a sausage, then we shouldn't have to marinade the things!: http://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/...in-one-sausage
