Well both UAE and Saudi supported the Taleban too. Taleban though isn't really a threat to Saudi or UAE monarchy because their brand of Islam and politics isn't going to be mimicked by local Arabs since Taleban aren't Arab.

Qataris , due to the riches of gas, love being contrary to everyone else. For a while in the nineties, they had an Israeli envoy, probably just for the wind-up qualities it acheived.
