Saudi MoI Eradicates Terrorism

It's a grate goal shared by many police organisation around the world. It would now appear that the Saudi police have met that particular KPI. Having now met it they have instructed the residential compounds to disassemble the truck bomb defences. Lets hope he gets the bonus before the next missile attack.

Maybe they minced all the terrorists at the cheese factory.

I fully support this step. The security in compounds just reinforces the siege mentality people sometimes have when they first arrive, and frankly the security itself was somehow simultaneously useless, time wasting and scary (who actually enjoyed having a tank mounted machine gun pointed at their car each day by some random when entering and leaving the compound?!?)

Saudi is a totally different place to when the compound attacks happened almost 2 decades ago.

Eureka! I think I may have worked it out. Its nothing to do with terror threat levels or security. The Saudis are polishing the turd ahead of WEP and G20. I think they might just be getting rid of all the jersey barriers and rusty barbed wire. They might need to work a bit harder at hiding the patriot missile batteries though. Riyadh is long over due a spring clean I'm looking forward to it.
