I think some of those countries don't give a rats arse about 'their' people and are glad to see them go abroad and send in foreign currency even if the women are abused.

For those mais coming from the SubContinent, the elites who come from higher caste and ethnically different groups would view women from lower caste and ethnic minority groups with the same concern the KKK has for Black women.

Saudi Arabia set to behead a Sri Lankan maid for alleged killing of baby in her care when she was a minor. She was 17 when arrested and was not allowed to provide a birth certificate to show her age.

I think they are not concerned because these maids and labourers aren't considered their own people, they only share nationality with them. I like it to Apartheid SA, the US of many decades ago or many South American countries whos elites do not consider the Native and Black populations as one 'their' own, only as communities sharing the same nationality.

They are all Indonesians and all Muslims. The issue in this case is the Indonesian government turns are blind eye because they come from the lower levels of society. The Saudis obviously don't care and only ended slavery in the 1960s due to international concern.
But you're right that a lot of minorities are treated terribly in South Asia...however I still feel it's more poverty and class based. That said the Indonesians didn't have any qualms about raping and killing tens of thousands of Catholic East Timorese...

Oh I was referring to South Asians when I made the previous comment. I think a great deal of it is caste/ethnic based, just going by the SubContinent's history of caste and ethnicity.

As for Indonesia, it's a case of wealthy Indonesians preferring to be in the good books of the Saudis and the Arab world . Atleast they are doing something about it now.

Regarding East Timor,
Along with religion, I think it is ethnic related as they (East Timorese) show far more phenotypic similarities to Papuans and Negrito groups of SE Asia than Malays from Jakarta .

Oh yes the caste system in the subcontinent is horrific. I have a number of experiences seeing that in the UAE...an Indian family in my building making their cook (who is the same nationality) sleep in the fire escape is one that comes to mind.

Not sure about East Timor - one of the specific indictments against the West by groups like Al Quaeda was the UN getting Indonesia to stop butchering the East Timorese...there's probably a religious and ethnic element.

Rather odd he'd call them racist when he subscribed to the "Nation of Islam" which was practically an anti-white and anti-Jewish racist group wrapped up in a sort of Islamic wrapper which isn't generally accepted by most Muslims.

Also rather odd to call Al Quaeda racist when they are clearly not racists - they are religious supremacists and don't give a hoot about people's race as long as they submit to their particular brand of Islam.

I can understand him and others' reason for joining the NOI. They came from a time when the civil rights era was still going. The US was very overtly racist and justice did not apply to Black people.

AQ is inherently racist because they are pushing Islam, and pushing it violently. Islam is Arab culture and when they forcefully push it on non Arabs, it is cultural genocide. If the 3rd Reich had waged their conquests under the guise of religion, would they still be considered racist?

Isn't it odd that AQ allmost exclusively targets civilians outside of the GCC. There are plenty of GCC locals who are far removed from AQ's Whhabhi/Salafist ideology but AQ focuses on non GCC Muslims and non-Muslims outside of the GCC.

Ayman Al Zawahiri, reputed to be the ideological and intelectual brains behind AQ was motivated by prominent Egyptian Islamist Sayyid Qutb , whos teachings inspires AQ ideology. Qutb has made anti Black racist comments.

I don't buy the excuse of fighting racism with more racism. Even today there are black people who go down that path and they are just as obnoxious as any KKK member.

AQ's pushing violence isn't racist - it's violent. Islam isn't a "race" and Arabian culture isn't a race either - there are many, many mixed people accepted as Arabs (at least more so than we accept mixed race people in the UK whom we share blood and culture with). I believe many Arabs are racist though as we all know if we live in the GCC for long (and very, very tribal to boot) but AQ's core doctrine is their brand of Islam for all...and that includes the GCC. They have repeatedly stated they are unhappy with what they see as non-Muslim influence in the GCC.

Islam itself doesn't really teach racism (just religious discrimination and misogyny!)...many Muslims are racist though. Going back to the Arabs I've heard them regularly refer to black people as "slaves"...the educated Arabs from Lebanon and Syria that is...charmers.

You are right though that AQ targets the wider world more than the Arab world. I don't think they are as big a threat as the Muslim Brotherhood though - or Arab Nationalists (who have their roots in National Socialism).

I will assume that you have read the Koran and understand the Hadith, with a shiekh to understand what the context is, since you seem to speak with authority on most subjects and twist it to be anti-islam ?

Many Muslims are racist though - let me guess but some of your best friends are muslims too ?
