Sandance - Noel Gallagher

Not seen mentioned anywhere else but got tickets today for this on the 15th March. Richard Ashcroft supporting him as well. Got tickets at 250AED which I thought was OK.

Good follow on from the Stone Roses in Feb

It's not called Sandance though - he asked fro it to be changed so now it's called 'Live at Atlantis'. Weirdo.

Yes Zane Lowe is on as well. Think it may be billed as "presented by Sandance".

I would rather put a campfire out with my face than give any cash to that chavvy prick.

Panic in the streets of Salford, methinks. Like JayZ not being "appropriate" for Glasto..

http://english.alarabiya.net/article...11/265736.htmlBut wasn't Liam Gallagher rather than Noel "the former front man of Oasis"? Mind you, it should still be a great gig. Richard Ashcroft playing acoustic will be awesome. I would prefer to watch it in a proper concert venue though rather than outside on the sand.

Don't think that's true though. It's not a 'Sandance' as there is no 'dance' element, and rather than being a mini-festival style line-up, there's the more traditional support plus headliner (who'll play a full 90min set). They are apparently looking to have a series of ‘Line at Atlantis’ concerts in addition to Sandance’s.

Tickets bought, looking forward to it. Love him or loathe him he has written a lot of good sing-a-long numbers.

As have Chas and Dave.

(oh, and "written"? Adapted might be a more accurate term, no?)

Hmmmm, not so much, apart from Snooker Loopy which is genius, and still how I remember the correct order in which to pot the colours.

Yes, every single one of his songs is a rehash of a something else, there is nothing in the slightest original about any of them... That's a bit of a tired old tale isn't it?

Not half as tired as everything post-Morning Glory (or even some of that)...

Actually I enjoy a bit of Oasis but they are about 1% as good as NG seems to think they are.

Oh, that's cleared that up then. All of Noel's songs are just a rip-off.

Are we talking Oasis stuff as well?
