Quick question for the Bored members...

I am attempting to arrange for the transfer of a maid from a Sharjah Free Zone sponsorship to my own.

The current incumbent 'sir and madam', a US couple who are trying to set up a baseball goods business in Dubai, have advised me that there PRO, above named Sam & Assoc, require over 8,000 AED to facilitate this transaction.

Now, far be it for me to question the word of a couple with a failed business in the USA, and are now pleading poverty in the UAE until 'the cheque' arrives.

My questions are these...

• Does anyone know the current charge for cancellation / transfer of visa under Sharjah FZ rules?
• Are there any Sam & Assoc employees on the Bored?
