You send an email to salik ([email protected]) with your Salik Account number and ask to cancel your Salik.

They will send you an email and request that you send a scanned copy of your UAE driving licence (for confirmation) and will then send you cancellation request to the "concerned department". They will also give you a 6-digit "request number", which you can use to get back any monies in your account.

Your query prompted me to get my Salik account money back which I'd forgotten to do !

Well, I didn't get back my Salik money (AED154.00) !

I cancelled my Salik at the car registration centre, fortunately there was only 8 dhs left on the account. Interestingly enough they can't open a new account there you have to walk next door to the Garage ...
