A Sad Story

Some of you may remember Natasha Coombs, a 17yo girl who was found dead on a railway track in Essex two months ago. Well, her 40yo mother was found dead on the same track yesterday evening...it seems that she couldn't handle life without her beloved daughter and committed suicide...sad, n'est-ce pas?

It's the gallery thing again, sorry :).

A friend of mine tried suicide and failed under similar circumstances to this story - in the aftermath of the death of his sister. They pumped his stomach in time....

its the people around them that get hurt the most by it! unfortunately you can get to a stage where that is no longer enough a reason to stop!

Suicide is such a delicate subject with people having so many views ranging from pity to anger dependant on the circumstances of the event, the saddest thing I can never imagine is the last thoughts of total hopelessness that any person who attempts suicide goes through...

The sheer desperation of the woman is heart-breaking to imagine. And the husband / father remains - what manner of life will he be enduring?

Re: A Sad Story

I was discussing Palestinian suicide bombers with an Emirati the other night. The point being made was that a mother who encourages her own offspring to commit suicide in the name of a cause illustrates just how desperate their plight is.
