Re: Russell Brand

The man isn't funny. Period. End of. Most of the world's unfunny 'comedy performers' are American (Bill Cosby, Steve Martin, John Goodman) but Brand is in there somewhere. Mind you, this sounds promising:

Brand promises to discuss popular figures including Che Guevara, Gandhi, Malcolm X and even Hitler.

But what does the guy actually do on stage? Having sex nine times in a night isn't really much of a qualification in that respect.

Must be something special. Even when a middle aged teacher tries scarpering with a teenage pupil he only managed 8x a night.

For some reason, Russell Brand makes me feel physically sick. I think he is revolting.

Russell Brand is as funny as cock cancer. That said, I actually forced myself to watch that clip and it was quite amusing how he made the anchors squirm.

Dean - Can unfunny people get lucky every now and again?? I agree Steve Martin is usually awful but Planes, Trains and Automobiles is comedy genius.

I agree - he looks like he needs a good wash. I wouldn't go and see him if the tickets were free.

ME doesn't show in the tour list, he's in the USA, then Canada. So unlikely he'd fly from USA to ME and back. Unless he needs a holiday ;)

His autobiography, 'Born Standing Up: A Comic's Life', is a very good read as well.
