Rugby World Cup 7s Tickets
Does anyone (The Dean?) know how many they have offloaded.
I heard that just over 1000 were sold but maybe that is just a rumour to add to the doom and gloom that is rampant here at the moment.

Let's see, how rediculously overpriced are they?

Re: Rugby World Cup 7s Tickets
It's over 3 days - Thursday , Friday and Saturday although on the Thursday the games don't start until 17:00 so bit of a waste of time.
Tickets are 450 for all 3 days, 200 for Friday or 300 for Saturday.
I'm just hoping that England can keep up the momentum from the win in Wellington

Not sure about local sales but all the packages (where flights, hotel, tickets for 7s, etc, are all included) from the UK are apparently all sold.
It will be a sell out, no sweat.

exactly, I don't like rugby and would only go for the craic
but for 300dhs I could get nicely hammered somewhere and not have to put up with drunken pricks all afternoon

Still, it's cheaper than going to Twickenham and there is a whole day of it as opposed to just 80 minutes!

I wouldn't dream of paying 300 but I'd consider 100-150

Re: Rugby World Cup 7s Tickets
A fair point, I suspect they are playing on the fact that it is the "World Cup" rather than the IRB tournament + amateurs.
Not trying to defend their prices but on the other hand perhaps they are trying to put off people who would pay 100AED and then spend all day in the Heineken tent, be the drunken @*%$#$^ that some refer to and not watch rugby? Whereas AED300 is quite a lot of entrance fee with ales on top?
