Re: Room 101 - words & expressions
I guess I have become immune to most, except "Of" instead of "have" annoys me still.
Most of the examples given I just internally roll my eyes and think "you twat".

Media/telly expressions I hate........
'Breaking news' (has someone smashed a window?)
'Next up' (that's a baseball term - leave it there)
I'll think of some more, I'm sure..........

Agreed re: the infuriating local (mis)use of "avail". Likewise almost all local use of the word 'signature' as in 'our signature dish/room/villa/whatever'.

Black swan event
The simple fact that we have discussed all possible ramifications of the potential event as have all the worlds security services, most major businesses and God only knows who else means by default that it cannot be a black swan event.

Shag is a great word for a mysog-n-ist-thingy-ma-bob person like me. Far nicer than the F word but if you dont Shag and you dont F then please dont tell me you make love. What do you call the act ?
TOWIE is hugely addictive for some reason I cannot fathom as I hate the accents

There are only two acceptable responses to that question: 'Yes, please' or 'No thank you'. Neither are particularly tricky, either.

anything made hilarious by saying .com after it..
drunk.com
confused.com
etc ..
also as a carry over to here, when people describe themselves in the third person at the end of a post with this kind of descriptive addition to their name..
confused weasel
organising my holiday weasel
weasel on holidays
barfing on my slippers weasel
you get the picture
