Personally I think he's talking out his erse, but wondering what some of you think.... Premier League or La Liga?

Agreed that Real and Barca are buying a few of the worlds best at the moment but I still dont think it makes La Liga a "Superior" league compared to Premier. The gulf between the top 2 and the rest is huge and will be even bigger this season.

Having the world's best players doesn't mean you have a team, and certainly doesn't guarantee winning.

Yes I think a certain Mark Hughes might agree with that statement, at least for the time being. As for the quality of La Liga, it's becoming another Scottish Premier League...dominated by just two teams.

rubbish, for the last few seasons getting towards the end there's been a lot of teams kicking around the top 4 or 5, and it's only pretty recently that it hasn't been a 2 team race in the prem.

It's just the massive fan base of Barca and Real, that allow them to buy some of the worlds best, but that doesn't make those leagues the greatest. As entertaining as Spanish football is, I would say it is more the style of play, than the quality throughout the league.
