Maybe he should have spent some of the $3.5million on swimming lessons?
Just a thought.

For years my golfing mates have referred to a particular golf shot as a 'Rodney King'..............

The Rodney King case changed the face of policing in the US, and arguably globally, in terms of dismantling the above-the-law attitude that police forces often displayed. I'd say that was significant.
You may enjoy beating black people but it's really not nice.........

Not giving a crap if he's dead isn't the same thing as not caring about police beating black people is it? He effected change and actually only asked for people to try to get along with each other...

Well he changed the mentality of the LAPD not the entire US. Some US police forces had changed years before that. LA has always been a different animal.

Would he have had to leg it if he hadnt been in breach of his parole conditions.
Was he a dodgy character who proved his dodginess by commiting further crimes after he had his millions.
King was hardly a saint was he.
And surely it could be viewed as evidence that racial profiling in LA worked. They saw dodgy black guy running away from police, apprehended him, found out he was a dodgy black guy in breach of parole.
Where it went wrong was the over clubbing for which there was no defence.
Wasnt there a post about black guys not being able to swim recently ?
