Rod Marsh.....WTF??
 

Hi all
Though I might as well make my first post a new thread. Went shopping to Lu Lu at Al Barsha this morning (upon Lyds's recommendation) and ran into ex Aussie wicketkeeper Rod Marsh and his wife Roz having a cuppa at Coffee Junction.

Surprising because, without meaning to be unkind in any way (the hypermarket was good), Lu Lu is shall we say a tad less salubrious than the other, magnificent malls in the area.

Anyway, nice couple, pleasant chat etc etc.

Now that I've got the name dropping out of the way, if anyone knows the best place an LPG plant operations specialist like myself should look for work (been onto ENOC already and they seemed interested) either here in Doobs or in Abu Dhabi, please fire away.

Rod Marsh used to keep wicket (Google it) for Australia.......... well, sort of - he was "clumsily fallible" [(C) Wisden] most of the time.........

Many years ago I worked for an Australian bank, and he attended one of our charity functions.

He told the following joke to the wife of the Chairman of the bank:

That would be RodNEY Marsh. A total twat. Im sure Rod Marsh carries himself with a bit more decorum, sophistication and discretion - despite being an Aussie.

An Aussie legend - my childhood would not have been the same without long hot days at the WACA. I go to Lulu's to shop all the time, I'll have to keep my eye out.
