A wee burns joke
Rabbie Burns comin home fae the pub, see's 2 folk at it!
so he stops 2 watch. the police arrive & say Rabbie will have 2 go 2 court & testify against them.
At court judge calls him 2 ask what he'd seen..
"I saw 2 people ****in.!"
"U cant use that language in court.!"
Ok I wis comin back fae brigadoon,
When i saw twa people lying doon,
Her skirt wis high,His erse wis bare,
His cock wis in amongst her hair,
His baws wur swingin 2 & fro,
If thats not ****in i diny know!

An oldie...
Gordon Brown and Alec Salmond on a civic visit to a Scottish hospital. Towards the end of the visit they're shown into the newest ward to conduct the ceremonial opening. They go to chat with the first patient, and the patient wails: "Fair fa' your honest sonsie face, Great chieftain e' the puddin' race! Aboon them a' ye tak your place, Painch, tripe, or thairm; Weel are ye wordy o' a grace as lang's my arm". Brown and Salmond being somewhat confused (easily done) moved on to the next patient. The patient ranted: "Some hae meat, and canna eat, and some wad eat that want it, but we hae meat and can eat, and sae the Lord be thankit". They are feeling rather uncomfortable at this point, but move down to the next patient. The next patient shrieked: "Wee sleekit, cow'rin, tim'rous beastie, O, what a panic's in thy breastie! Thou need na start awa sae hasty, wi bickering brattle! I wad be laith to rin an chase thee, wi murdering pattle". They turn to the doctors accompanying them and ask what's wrong with all these numpties. Is this a mental ward? "No", replied the doctors, "This is the Burns unit"

Re: Robert Burns - 250th Anniversary
"Scots wha' hae'" (Scots who have) written by Robert Burns as he imagined Robert the Bruce addressing his troops at Bannockburn.
Scots wha' hae'
Scots, wha hae wi' Wallace bled,
Scots, wham Bruce has aften led,
Welcome to your gory bed
Or to victorie!
Now's the day, and now's the hour:
See the front o' battle lour,
See approach proud Edward's power
Chains and slaverie!
Wha will be a traitor knave?
Wha can fill a coward's grave?
Wha sae base as be a slave?
Let him turn, and fleel
Wha for Scotland's King and Law
Freedom's sword will strongly draw,
Freeman stand, or freeman fa',
Let him follow me!
By Oppression's woes and pains,
By your sons in servile chains,
We will drain our dearest veins
But they shall be free!

Re: Robert Burns - 250th Anniversary
'Tis 250 years since Robert Burns birth tomorrow Sunday 25 th January
O' my Luve's like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June: O'my Luve's like the melodie, That's sweetly play'd in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a' the seas gang dry.
Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear, And the rocks melt wi' the sun; And I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o' life shall run.
And fare-thee-weel, my only Luve! And fare-thee-weel, a while! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho' 'twere ten thousand mile!
2009 is also the Year of the Homecoming, which commences on Sunday. There will be a global gathering of the clans in Edinburgh in July.
