Rivington Grill

I took the missus there last night, best fish and chips I've had in Dubai (having vinegar in a bottle rather than delivered on a saucer was a nice touch).

Highly recommended, and we didn't think it was too badly priced by Dubai standards.

It's upstairs (same level as Left Bank) in Souk Al Bahar, facing Burj Dubai.

now, im partial to a bit of nice tukka although i lack the pretentiousness of W10 and Eva;)

Approx 20Quid for fish and chips, is pretty ridiculous.

Now i come from a North East fishing town and know a good fish supper from 'good dubai yuppy blah deblah daring' fish supper.

Ok, you get your sarsons in a bottle, which is nice. What else makes up the extra 60-70AED mark up.

Comfy chairs?
lovely surrounding?
waitress with big bazooka's

If the fish is really that good and not just 'dubai' good, then im going..

I can't normally remember restaurant prices here, but I'm guessing most places you're looking at 80dh + for fish chips, which generally gets you undercooked fish with all that soggy shit between the batter and fish.
I'd rather pay 110 dh for a really good piece of fish cooked properly, with good chips and vinegar in a bottle.
They are on a par with something from Whitburn, where you will pay a fraction of the price. Unfortunately we live in Dubai so Whitburn was not an option.
The restaurant itself is very nice, although we only saw waiters so you may want to give it a miss (unless you're inclined that way).

Jebil Ali club do great Fish and Chips for dhs45 and they come with mushy peas and chunky chips, Ok it's not a posh restaurant but tasty.
