Re: RIP Neil Armstrong
Like the fact he wasn't a singing, dancing, shouting hero. An intellectual 'boffin' who was widely regarded as the coolest cucumber under pressure.
Proper hero stuff.
RIP Neil Armstrong.

Re: RIP Neil Armstrong
On the lighter side. I recall a fit and vigorous Neil Armstrong during a visit to a NATO base in Afghanistan last year. I noticed that during one of his frequent walkabouts around the base and enclosed by a close protection unit, he felt the need to visit a portable toilet. His CPU was standing around it until it dawned on them to give him some privacy/space. They then meandered sheepishly away. Made me laugh and a few other bystanders’ also. Yes, a good guy.

I remember exactly where I was when he took that first step on the moon. I was playing on the floor and watching it on tv while my mother was making me lunch- a grilled cheese sandwich and Fritos. I don't think I wanted to watch it, but it was on every channel.
It was a hot summer day

Too many drugs and exercise I guess - I wonder if the cancer returned.

I recall (perhaps wrongly) from another thread that you hadn't watched The Right Stuff. Be a good time to watch it. And be a good lad, don't download it illegally...

Will google and see if I remember it or not.
I'm all about doing the right thing now. Anyone know if jeema water is made by nice people or slaves?
