RIP Mr Briers

Re: RIP Mr Briers
I read about him a week or so ago when he was interviewed with Prunella Scales. He hinted then that he did not have long to go and struggled to walk. Also said that Felicity Kendal had not spoken to him in a long long time and never really did. Sad

When was that Monarch of the Glen show being filmed then? I thought it was pretty recent and he seemed pretty robust looking in that.. I saw bits of it not long ago on BBC Entertainment or whatever it is (the Ann Robinson channel anyway) here but they seem to air things from any old time.
The Good Life really was a very big deal when it was on. I still vividly remember the first episode where it all got set up. It's hardly ever repeated, at least not anywhere that I get to see. What a brilliant ensemble the four of them were. Beat the crap out of Robin's Nest, that's for sure!

Great actor, an example of a fine, restrained and proper English gent.
He'll be missed.
