RIP The Hurricane

Without Higgins snooker would never have become one of the most popular television sports in the 1980s. One of a kind.

RIP

Very sad, I used to watch snooker with my grandad who used to love watching Higgins play. Fond memories :)

Can anyone else remember that epic semi-final in the World Championship against Jimmy White (can't remember which year - I'd say mid-1980s)? Breathtaking match.................

I saw him in the Irish Village about eight years ago and thought he looked very ill. What a player when he was on form.

Shame he let the drink and drugs ruin him.

RIP Hurricane
