rim/alloys repair

i am truly gutted :(:( This morning i was in a world of my mine and too busy looking in the rear view mirror to notice i was about to hit a kerb, and so i did, and I now have a very bad, aesthetically speaking, scratched front wheel alloy.
If anyone can recommend a decent garage (who won't charge me an arm and a leg) to get it fixed (and do a good job as well) i would very much appreciate their contact details. Thanks.

Can't park, won't park. You're like my Mum, you don't get points for ruining alloys you know?

I don't have any recommendations but Jam and others definitely will.

Maybe you should book a holiday to get over the upset?

i didn't do while parking - i did it as i was driving down the road - so it could have been much worse
I just rang this company The UAE's No1 Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists - Express Wheel Repair Dubai they told me to take pics and whatsapp them and so i did - they have quoted me AED 450 for each wheel (i want to get 3 wheels done) - i have no clue if that is reasonable or not:confused:

I've paid 400 in the past to have alloys fully refurbished and they came back a treat - looked brand new.

I actually got them done through the Dunlop Tyre shop in Al Barsha but I think they sent them off to Sharjah somewhere.

Thanks SHED - so i guess 450 isn't too bad in that case

SHED did you get all 4 done, or just the rims that needed it? I am just wondering if i get the 3 that need to be done, will the 4th one look odd?

Sharjah is your friend. I don't know anywhere specific. Just have a drive around the automotive bit of the industrial area and do some bartering.

450 sounds steep if i'm honest.

They should come back looking brand new though.

What are you driving and how hard did you hit it? A scrape will be fine but if it was a clout you may have bigger issues. Snoozy VW Golf GTI and R wheels are renowned for 'going out of round' after a decent whack. They can be repaired but they heat them to such a point it weakens them and the same happens the next time and you end up buying a new wheel.

JAM, i honestly don't want to be driving around Sharjah on my tod...i just wouldn't feel comfortable approaching all the desi men in their shalwar kameezes - especially more so, since my hindi/urdu is completely shyte.
I have a M 235i.
To be honest the scratches aren't that bad and the dents are very small - you can't really see them unless you go close up.

Nice motor. Note to self, keep an eye out for all micro beemers with occupants driving while looking in the rear view mirror.... ;)

If you can't see the scratches then I'd leave them until you find a place or have someone to do a tour of Sharjah with.

i wasn't too bothered, but after what happened this morning, that wheel in particular looks messed up lol - or at least i think it does
i've just rang the garage and asked them to give me a better deal to get all 4 done - he's quoted me 1500 for all four, which works out 350 each - that isn't bad, right?
