The Return
 
after a 4 year stint in SE Asia me and the Mrs are heading back to the Sandpit in February. Going to be good to be back in Dubai :thumbup:

Yes 4 years. We left in September 2008
The Singapore climate is too draining. Will also be nice to be a bit closer to our families.

yes. Sinagpore has been good but the weather is oppressive 12 months of the year, the city is crowded, very expensive, no usable beaches (you really wouldn't want to swim in the sea here), cars prohibitively expensive (a toyota yaris would be around AED 250,000 new) and the combination of using public transport and the climate mean there is a constant flow of flu/cold viruses being passed around.

looking forward to arriving back in Dubai, which is also a lot closer to our families.

Yes, the car situation is ridiculous, and it is very expensive. I only visited.

yes looking forward to getting back. company have sorted us out with an apartment for the first few months. won't be the best but it will give us time to find our own place. Currently thinking of renting in JLT
