Restuarant tips..

Okay, its the only question I really ask on here nowadays...

My boss and his wife are in Town and my wife and I are taking them for dinner on Saturday.

It is her first time in Dubai and I would like some recommends on a nice restaurant. Nothing spicy.

Cost no object within reason!!

I looked at Perichic for the views but would like other experiences/idea.

Not just about the restaurant but also the "experience/view" etc..

Cheers

Pierchic furniture is like garden furniture (rattan tables and chairs).

I've also heard it called Pier-sheet - although the one and only time I've been I was quite impressed with the food (and the view is hard to beat).

Gary Rhodes place (Mezzanine) in Grosvenor House I thought was more impressive for a restaurant.

You could always go to one of the Madinat bars for drinks after for the views

Villa Beach at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, right on the beach with a view of the Burj Al Arab, great food and reasonably priced.

If you want to impress a visitor, a trip to The Madinat is bound to impress. Lots of restaurants (forget the awful Pier Shite and whoppingly overpriced Pai Thai) and the drive up to Al Qasr is a bit wow if you've never seen it before. MJ is a steakhouse but does other many other things too. I also quite like Al Hambra (Spanish).

The Zabeel Saray on The Palm is impressive looking with some decent restaurants.

Rivington Grill in Madinat?

Decent food then you can go up to rooftop bar for good views (it's bearable now) then have a wander around Madinat.

DIFC...we were there last week. Very good food but during the week the bar is full of pricks who think they are working in The City.

I'll second Rivington Grill (we went to the one at the Address last week). Also Grand Grill and Karma Cafe in Downtown. In KC you can sit outside and watch the fountains.

Do you mean Rivington Grill and Karma Kafe in Souk al Bahar? Rivington has an outside terrace, but I reckon it's still too warm for visitors to sit outside.

The Address (the big main one) has a few good restaurants as well as couple of bars with good views if you fancy that option.

Or show them old school Dubai and go to Ravi's...

I'd go for Bice mare in Souk Al Baha or Ad El Wahab in Pier 7 in the marina
