Restaurants told to comply with alcohol law...

Re: Restaurants told to comply with alcohol law...
Thanks Meow, I have been wondering about the rule on hand holding in public for ages - Kittycat's avatar led me to believe that this is treated very strictly by the locals, Also, I was watching a clip on a travel show, where a UK woman was held in custody for 2 days for not being modestly dressed in a mall - her accuser was a local lady dressed in full veil etc -are such incidents a rarity?

No, all the kids are grown up now & have their own lives. Mrs Fudd may come over in 2012, depending on her work situation in UK, which is all up in the air at the moment.

I know Norm but we can't change a thing so it is not worth getting upset over.

which can get twisted and people feel it is directed at them I don't take offence when people slag of Geordies, I tend to agree with them on most occasions.

But there's a difference between saying you don't like certain things about a group's culture or values and saying you're going to do something nasty to a particular person. Some people are not able to separate themselves from the herd it seems...but that is their problem not the problem of the person speaking their mind in most cases.

2- How many labourers would gather around salons, faces pressed up to the window, if we had normal salons here?
3- The lower races are quite ugly, aren't they?

That new rule has all the telltale signs of a badly translated piece of text.
It will all be 'clarified' soon.
