Default Relocating to Muscat

Soon moving to Muscat.Anyone got any ideas on best areas to live for single man no kids?

Hi there, I moved to Muscat myself about a month ago, love the place and the people. As for areas to live in, Qaboos and Qurm are both really nice but very expensive for what you get. You will only get an appartment in these areas for around 1000 RO, villas start at 2000 RO. If you want a villa then look on the outskirts of town where you get better value. Its not really a problem, Muscat is a small city and the traffic is nothing compared to London or Dubai so getting around is quite easy.

Suggest you pick up a copy of the Explorer Guide for Oman from Amazon - has tons of info.
