I don't begrudge them a day off at all, I actually commend Howdra for doing the right thing.

Its just that I really need a bloody cleaner to come on Thursday before the wife and kids arrive home to clean up after 3 weeks of bachelorhood.

And yes, I could do it myself, but have a project deadline which is taking up all my time, so there ya go.

Doesn't matter what it is, manners costs nothing. Be arsey and you get very little.

If you can't be polite on here, why would you be polite to a cleaner? See the logic? The firm I have used are very good and I would like their staff, who work very hard, to be treated well and appreciated.


And as for suggesting my comment in like one from EW, you are the one asking for a maid as you can't clean your own home....

He's Australian and they've just lost the Ashes, you should know the average Aussie doesn't put manners and punctuation too gighly.

What a palaver. I'm an engineer by trade and write a lot of technical specifications, so I'm sorry If my request was phrased in that pragmatic nomenclature.

Sorry if I caused offence with my curtness, but I would be most grateful to anyone who so wishes to aide me in my search of a wonderful (and well remunerated) maid who doesn't mind working on a religious holiday.

3 weeks of bachelorhood, you need to do a forensic clean, nothing worse than the wife calling you into the bathroom and there she is all blonde haired holding a handful of long black hairs she has just scooped out of the plug hole!!!!!!!!!!!!!
