Internet fair enough, Dyson no, he reinvented a boat, wheelbarrow, hoover and washing machine and now a fan, his air blade is a new use not invention. dont get me wrong i'd list all of those but under your definition thats a no.

concorde and the shuttle are bad examples as they have not yet been superceded by newer or better technology, hence the bad examples remark. (incidentally the next supersonic airliner will probably be a scram jet or similar and are already well into development and nasa has been trialling newer reusable craft for at least the last 20 years)

I agree its sometimes sad but thats technological advancement for you.

Whatever aggregation of processes and technologies which led to the e-ticket. Can you remember the hassles of receiving / using / (and particularly) changing an airline ticket that was like of a book of raffle tickets printed on Izal?

Always astounds me how many on the right (US right) use that fallacious argument.

You're a right grump today.

Political correctness isn't a bad thing when sensitivity and a modicum of common sense is applied. I hope your issue is with bigots of any type, not being considerate of other's feelings. I'd hate to go back to the 70s and the crassness, racism and sexism that was rampant then.
