No, that's just another reason not to use public transport ;).

I miss propper beer, "Bishops finger" and "Speckled hen" along with warm summer afternoons spent in the pub garden (the one next to the river/in the park in Ross-on-wye, where they hold the duck race) complaining to friends about hosepipe bans. Also Fox's glacier and Polo mints :wub:.

Wow..couldn't get over the price of the rail ticket from Manchester to London (GBP 115) for a 262-km-long one way trip.

A similar one-way fare in Australia, say Melbourne to Wagga Wagga (369 km long trip) is A$25 or GBP 9.70 !!

so lets all hate the UK by focusing on the petty-minded train jobsworth rather than love the UK for the rather more heartwarming reaction of all the fellow passengers?

No, but we are the worst at it............. US prices are much lower than in July, for example. The punitive tax element in the price doesn't help, admittedly.........
