Default Range Rover Evoque

Has anyone got any feedback on the newest Range Rover please? Looks like it might have a few blind spots. Grateful for any feedback

I thought I'd like it but seeing one in the flesh I don't...at all. Not particularly technical that feedback. Sorry

So what sort of person drives an Evoque?
Should be some interesting responses to follow

Evoque just looks like a jacked up sports coupe. What a world of difference between it and the agricultural Defender.

I like the, And I'm neither.

I also own a Defender mind you. And a BMW so that probably makes my opinion somewhat scheize.

Not sure what label that would attract. Styleless? Dependable? Grey? I'd have an Evoque, but then I live in the Marina. And I'd probably call it Tracey.

A jumped up Freeloader with no V8? How long before you can buy Range Rover 'lifestyle accessories' - always presuming that you can't already....

A soft-roader, for soft heads.

Edmunds gives it a reasonable review (they do good, unbiased reviews imo):

http://www.edmunds.com/land-rover/ra...r-evoque/2012/

This just about sums it up:

"So Victoria Beckham or no, the 2012 Range Rover Evoque is a lot more than just an automotive fashion accessory. If that's all you want it for, however, we doubt it'll disappoint"

OMG - just read about Victoria Beckham been associated with it so that's a simple decision for me. It's a definite "no" now. I only considered looking at it as my husband mentioned it and said it might be worth considering. Time to look at Honda and VW again.

I had a Jeep whilst in Dubai, and yes, it was brilliant in the dunes (2" lift, loads of mods etc.), but it was rubbish on the roads, loud, tramlined (that'll be the 33" tyres then), and, all in all, wasn't very good.

The latest Freelander is surprisingly good off road, LR have really upped there game.

And why do you need a V8? (My BMW has one), the new diesels out perform them in every way - including 0-100 sprints.

Just cos petrol is cheap in UAE doesn't mean it has to be consumed at an indecent rate.
