Worst experience was a run in with a doctor (of all people) at the Al-Noor. Don't want to go in to it, but had to call our PRO to sort things out.

I dont know how many Maori are in the UAE, I bumped into a few guys at Du-plays and Toa and out and about at the pubs. Maybe a dozen or more over the time I was there?

i think the uae is one big culture clash and until the rulers get serious about it the rampant discrimination/double standards won't go away.

it is uncivilised in every sense of the word when it comes to this. shame. at least they have shiny infrastructure.....

The only positive thing I can say about racism in the UAE is that it's very much worse in Saudi Arabia, where it's embarrassingly in your face.

As a person of color, I can personally say that I've never witnessed nor been the victim of racism anywhere in the Arabian peninsula. And I've actually lived with the Arabs, rather than cowering behind compound walls and whining and complaining just about everything like the lot of you. The fact that there are persons from the sub continent working lower level jobs does not mean that the entire country is racist. They come here out of their own free will and most of them actually enjoy living here. Personally, I think all whinny Brits should have their employment terminated and deported back to cold, rainy Britain. If the Arab countries are so "racist", why don't you do the moral thing and GTFO? No one asked you to move here, and you moved here out of your own free will and continue living here out of your own will. If you wish to stay here, I suggest you get off your high horse and stop bitching and complaining and whining and making false and malicious accusations against your hosts.
