A quick accommodation question...........
Hi there (don't worry, I'm not going to hang around and annoy people ),
In the current Dubai property market, what/where would be the best deal for AED 150,000 p.a.? Commuter destination would be Deira (although that need not be a limiting factor).
Thanks for any tips (and sorry I'm a bit out of touch on this subject).

Been sorting out a few issues............ still not resolved, but I'll let you know as and when.
Villa or apartment? Don't care really - I assume I'd get a 'better' apartment than a villa at the same price? It's not definite yet anyway, but I need to be able to negotiate...........

How many bedrooms, family, villa, apartment etc...
Festival City is reasonably new and pretty close - nice apartments mostly (some town houses but rare to get one).

I only need 3 bedrooms, and an apartment would be fine.

Check business bay/Downtown (the area around the Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa). More life going on in that part of the town, it's a very attractively developed community and you aren't far from Deira as you'd be going against the traffic.
Plenty of 3-beds in Business Bay for around 100K. It's rare to find 3-beds in Downtown as most of the market is 1-2 beds, but they may exist in Southridge towers.
If you don't care where you are then a 3-bed villa in Mirdiff for 100K should work for you.
You have a lot of options these days. If you want a fairly westernised community feel with shops within walking distance, I'd go for the Greens. Marina has some glam. 150K in both place will get you a fancy 3-bed in an Emaar/Emaar quality building with good amenities.
Edited: just checked dubizzle and found a 3-bed plus maid's, 1850 square feet, in the Executive Towers for 120K.

Where have you been Dean... we miss you, and there have been a few deaths that you haven't informed us of... it's just not the same without you.
