Default Qatar jails American couple accusing them of starving their daughter to death

* Asian American couple (Oriental) adopts 3 children from Africa
* 1 of the children, a girl dies from malnutrition
* Qatar authorities charge the parents with "Murder with intent" for allegedly starving their daughter to death
* American non profit group The Innocence Project says the parents are innocent and girl was malnourished before adoption and had history of abnormal eating behaviour

Now here is an interesting rationale by the Qataris for suspecting the Asian American couple of nefarious intentions.

In addition, the unconventional family - an American couple of Asian descent with three black children - may have also complicated the situation because Qatar officials were unfamiliar with U.S. international adoptions, said Simpson, whose organization is one of several assisting the family.

An investigative report by Qatari police raised questions about why the Huangs would adopt children who did not share their ‘hereditary traits’ and raised concerns that the children were part of a human trafficking operation or were ‘bought’ for organ harvesting, according to the family's website
Re. Bolded ; Not surprised with this sort of thinking considering the cultural mindset of the region .

I will say it is very surprising to see an Asian American couple adopt African kids but it isn't really surprising to hear Americans , especially Whites, adopt African kids.

I am uncertain on how much blame the parents deserve and at the same time I am not down with Qatari authorities' conclusion either.

I mistrust people with hyphens. The couple were American and most Americans, white or otherwise who have any kind of conscience and middle to higher income adopt babies, give to charity and generally try to do their bit. I obviously don't know the truth of this case but it seems highly unlikely that someone would go to the effort and expense of adopting a child then deliberately mistreat and starve them to death.

The Qatar way of thinking in this highlights their thinking and explains how mean they are when it comes to charity (mean and selective), and how stunningly racist they are too.

Why is this surprising? Because the media shows only famous white people adopting children from Africa?

It's surprising because generally many of the non White demographics in America aren't as progressive as Whites towards African Americans.
Asian culture - from the MENA region to the Sub-Con to the Orient - generally looks down on dark skin.
