Qatar

Well it seems Mr Tillerson has been to Qatar and the outcome is as follows;

Sent to bed early without supper, instead of being soundly thrashed with the wooden spoon!

It's part of a greater ploy to get the Gulf countries out of this mess with everyone still saving face.

Not to be just an echo to you now or myself before but this is pretty much all it comes down to. How can they all back away from this without appearing to lose. The issues that started it become less of an issue it seems.

They will all sign a Treaty or bullshit accord, brokered by a third party, which no-one will ever have access to, whilst they all say nice things about each other until next time!

As you say the real issues will be brushed under the carpet, not to be discussed, until the same issues rear there collective heads in the future again.

Qatar revel in being the bad boy of the Gulf States, very similar to a petulant teenager....which probably explains why they get involved with people they should not!

I find it amusing the way the UAE papers toe the Government line and the Qatari ones only report what their government wants the populace to be told.

Of course not, it just amuses me that it's so obviously biased and blatant as the hacks suck up to their respective govs.

Yep. It's a daily entertainment to read the National first and then Gulf Times.
