if it was full they wouldn't be advertising those Thursday night things they are hosting - apparently over 3000 people turn up.

I went to the Saffron restaurant there the other week on a friday night, it was totally dead. Maybe 20% full at most. Lots of people in the corridors outside of course, but they're the ones who come to take their picture in front of the shark tank. They're quite obviously not guests.

If the hotel is full, not sure why the restaurants all seem empty

I wouldn't say any single hotel in Dubai is 95% full, what a crock of shit. I mean who writes for these newspapers?

Eh? Eh?

Like Jumeirah does, they just close a few floors for "renovation/spring cleaning/whatever" so those floors don't count in the occupancy resulting in higher percentages.

I have a friend who works there, and it was 91% or so occupied, but when they are charging half price, it really only works out to 50% ;) The size of the hotel alone must mean major challenges, can you imagine if the Asia Asia had opened:eek:
