Re: Proud to be a northerner
Wynyard golf course is a really nice one, Alan Shearer, Kevin Keegan and Duncan Bannantyne all play there.
Wynyard hall is a nice place to stay too, owned by sir John Hall the former owner of Newcastle united.
They are both around half an hour drive from Darlington.

Re: Proud to be a northerner
Thanks pal, think it's probably an hour or so in slightly the wrong direction (further north and east slightly). Still, will add to the list as need to formulate a plan. I want to go up and have 4-5 days with golf and wedding and some nice hotels.

Was in Rotherham a month ago up at aldwarke but staying in the shitty holiday inn just off the M1. I can honestly say that it is a completely shit awful, miserable place. It is the yanbu of England
Did go to the best pub ever in some village near StOcksbridge called the mustard pot. Food was very good indeed and only 30 mins from Rotherham
