When a public holiday falls on a weekend my firm just adds a day to our holiday allowance. Which is nice, because you can then use it whenever you want to.

According to the womens forum, few people are getting a day off at all in AD , but Mr LW has been given Saturday, which was his Saturday off anyway.
Total pest Friday is dry from 5.30 to 6.30 on Saturday, so a very short Friday beer session for me, I'll have to be up early to make the most of it |

New boss has decided that everything's played strictly as per the rules--so if a BH falls on a weekend, tough. We also used to have the arrangement where we could work BHs and add them to our leave--especially useful for us out here whose families are elsewhere: who the **** needs an extra holiday here if you're not with your family? That arrangement went to. So we're just waiting till so bigwig kicks it and there's a month's worth of BH. What goes around comes around.
