Prophet Muhammad's Birthday (PBUH)

Anyone know if there is going to be a public holiday on Thursday or Sunday in Abu Dhabi? Bahrain has already annouced a public holiday for Sunday... :fingerscrossed:

I'd think extremely unlikely - all previous holidays that fell on a weekend were not moved to the nearest workday... :(

Government has just confirmed no extra public holiday, see this link: http://www.wam.org.ae/servlet/Satell...T-LEN-FullNews

And I've just called up my local watering hole, and they're closing on Thursday night as it's dry :(
Party at home it is then...

In Bahrain, everybody will have it off on Sunday (snigger, titter). This is standard practice here when a holiday falls on a weekend day.

Bars and restaurants will remain open as usual.
