Can anyone tell where to get a good range of p*rk cuts in Dubai?

Specifically Guanciale (P*rk cheek) for a proper Carbonara, and also somewhere that will do a P*rk shoulder with the bone left in?

I thought Spinneys might be the primo option, but sadly they don't (won't) do a shoulder with bone in or anything else on order.

I've gotten the BBQ bug and am enjoying some long, low and slow BBQ action.

You might find guanicale in the pork room at Galeries Lafayettes at the Dubai Mall. They carry a lot of French, Spanish and Italian cured pork and other pork products. If they don't have it it's unlikely anyone else will.

We ordered our pork leg joint from him for Christmas last year. He might be able to help with the stuff you want.

Was just taking the P*ss on the self censorship that I often see, especially when watching cooking shows over here, like masterchef and they beep out the word p*rk.

Thanks for the tip on Park'n'Shop I dont usually shop there, so I will swing past and check them out.

I am sure that redshark (may allah bless him) will be popping up to tell us why the very word pork is haram and we are endangering our souls by saying it out loud blah blah blah. this censoring is self-regulated, ie the TV channel or some muppet working there (probably western) has decided that these words are not suited for sensitive middle eastern ears. it is simply a case of pc gone wrong....

showing R rated horror/action movies in the middle of the day however that is okay...
