"Private Jet" services from Dubai to Abu Dhabi - 150 AED

This looks ace...

The Rotana Jet flights between Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen airport and Dubai International Airport's Terminal 2 will be cheaper than taking a taxi, Arabian Business has reported.

The service that begins from August 1, will be priced at AED150 ($40.83) one way, which is lower thant the taxi fare between the two cities starting from around AED200.

How long to get through security at T2, how long to wait for boarding. How long to wait for departure at DXB depending on time of day. Any holding waiting to get into Al Bateen as you have to pass AD International. 1/2 hour flight time but more likely 2 hours total.

And therin lies its drawback. If they can fast track the airport ill use it if its the usual of same hanging around time then it'll take longer than driving.
Bani yas though would be worth it

Right the way down by the Eastern Mangoves, off the SZR by bloom gardens, Park Arjaan by Rotana/Khalifa park area.

Al Bateen is great - it's the tiny private jet terminal - it'll take you all of 5 minutes to get out of there, if that.

For a press junket, I went on supposedly one of the royal family's jets to RAK. There was a a double bedroom at the front of the plane. Crazy stuff.

The problem will be take-off and landing in Dubai. Emirates will take priority over anything at T2.

It would be quicker to drive.

there will be no waiting to go past ad international airport easy peasy, getting in and out of bateen will be a doddle.

NO! It doesn't work like that. First come first served. Always.

Not for take off, if you miss your slot for instance. Then you queue, no?

Slot? Oh my, if only! Wish there were slots! I'm working on something similar'ish but it's not slots as we know them.
In international aviation we'd be killed if we gave priority/precedence to one airline over another. It's just not cricket old boy.

I can just imagine the scenario..the plane is ready, most passengers are on board, then comes the announcement..we are waiting on the arrival of a few more passengers..ie Mr Al.Mansoori,Mr Al Mazroui etc.

Bottom line certain people will treat it like their private jet and arrive when they feel like it. And all the other people will be late for work/meetings.

Cynical moi?
