Pound on 11 December

Following the vote.

What is your prediction?

If the deal is defeated (almost assuredly) will the pound drop and if so by how much?

Or is the defeat already factored into the current value of the pound?

On the very unlikely odds of a pass, the pound will surely increase but let's not even talk about this option as it's just not going to happen.

priced in. With a boost to follow when ref 2 is announced as there is no chance of brexit going through a second ref.

.

I agree with MH that it's probably already priced in. The constant dropping bit-by-bit is the run up to these. It's only shocks that drop it, like when Brexit actually happened.

I think we're going to come out the other side of this with barely a single senior minister looking good. The shit slinging, back stabbing, game playing and territory grabbing has been utterly scandalous at times. It's so toe-curlingly 'cringey' I can barely watch.

Passions are certainly involved. Most ministers and MPs firmly believe they know what's best and are refusing to budge (either side). And therein lies the problem. It really is a winner takes all scenario. All the politicking you refer to are especially pronounced when there's so much at stake. I don't begrudge them for it.

I think what I begrudge is that I think the majority are operating with personal not wider interests as the focus.

It's like any organisation, those who do it in a work environment normally end up very high but perhaps with not too many friends.

Ferk knows about the pound but it wasn't much fun to drop six months worth of gains with the Dow crashing last week.

I transferred 75% savings last week at 4.68. Will transfer the rest if it drops this week or keep it for a later date.

Wild rumours in Westminster that tomorrow's vote is going to be pulled.

Not that it matters in the general scheme of things for me. A lot of my quids are safely overseas but I have an expensive online purchase I want to make and wanted to see if it was worth holding off until after tomorrow.

Man I have even stopped reading up on this now. Totally confused...please can anyone answer one simple question? Is Brexit happening or is it not?

Something old and rare for my father.

Truth be told I don't think I'd have expected anything more than £20 savings if there was a bit of a drop following the vote. Just being a tightwad. Pound has dropped just slightly as we speak.
