Poppy Seeds

Are they still taboo here?
Just asking because me and the other half were in a supermarket looking for a biscuit selection box for cheese (mmmmm, cheese) for Chrimbo and we saw some that had poppy seeds in them. Surely that's a big no no.

Depends if you bring them through Customs on the bottom of your shoe?

I've seen them for sale in Spinneys (in Doha) next to all the other seeds and spices. Convinced they just slipped up though and customs let it through by mistake.
